Our
yacht is aptly named JOY
and is an Atlantic 49
designed for comfortable cruising. She has a robust
sleek line and although designed for charter cruising
her 110 square metres of main and genoa sails gives her
a speed of 8.5 knots. In absence of wind she is
adequately engined to continue the cruise. |

The spacious
cockpit is well laid
out both for relaxation and for sailing the yacht. The
double tiller ensures plenty of free stern deck space,
ideal for manoeuvring and embarking and disembarking.
Meals are enjoyed in the open air at an attractive fixed
table. The deck is free from objects with a sunbathing
area in the prow. |

A comfortable, airy
saloon with 2,21 metres of head room seats 8/10 people.
The roomy galley is separated from the saloon and fitted
with spacious work tops, 2 fridges, double basins and a
gas cooker with oven. There is ample cupboard and
storage space for food and pots and pans.
JOY is fitted with 4 guest
cabins each with its own bathroom with shower, most
unusual in yachts of this size. Each cabin has a double
bed and wardrobe. |

|
|
 |
The
skipper has his own
double bedded cabin with bathroom separated from the
guest cabins with access from the prow.
The area for working the yacht is spacious and well
planned. |

JOY can
only be chartered with her highly experienced reliable
